Lynda Ballard founder of Kobashi. "I started Kobashi in 1985 with the
goal of supplying the best Essential Oils and Aromatherapy products at
good prices. I am happy to say, that with the help of many people we have
accomplished that goal. We originally set up to supply the Health Food
industry and now also supply thousands of Therapists, Clinics, and
Hospitals worldwide."
Kobashi is a well established company that prides itself on the quality
of its products.
All of our oils are from named botanical species, 100% natural,
unadulterated, nothing added or taken away, of the highest quality and
tested for their authenticity. We use the latest testing equipment: GC
& GC-MS systems in conjunction with HP Chem-station and Wiley’s
360,000 chemical spectrums library, testing to parts per trillion. We
reject any oil if pesticdes or herbicides are found. The testing has been
operated by Dr. Kevin Brigden, Iryna Labunska & Scott Ballard, at an
independent advanced laboratory in Exeter. Kobashi has an extensive
library on essential oil data to cross reference-research the oils.
All fully qualified Aromatherapists are entered in our consultancy
service data base. So when you are in need of a massage treatment we can
refer you to the therapist in your area. |

We grow our own Organic Lavender, Organic Calendula and Organic St
John's Wort in Devon and work closely with growers and distillers
worldwide.
We do our best to make our packaging environmentally
friendly. Our plastic bottles are made of more environmental hdpe, pet, or
pp, not pvc - which releases phthalates in processing and
carcinogenic dioxins when burned. Don't use PVC.
Kobashi is a registered user of the B.U.A.V.’s (British Union for the
Abolition of Vivisection) Cruelty Free Logo. Campaigning to end animal
experiments. None of the products or ingredients have been animal tested
by anyone who supplies to us (our cut-off date is 1976). All Kobashi
products are Animal Free and suitable for Vegans. Kobashi is a member of
the Vegan Society. |

We purchase and test for chemo-type, always trying to supply oils which
are organic (no artificial fertilizers or pesticides). We detest harmful
chemicals and would like to see the end of their use. Please note we
reject any essntial oil in which pesticides or herbicides are found.
We take great care when purchasing our oils - buying direct from
growers and distillers whenever possible. Over 50% of Kobashi Oils are
organic: either naturally farmed or wild.
Kobashi products are formulated in-house in order to maintain strict
quality control. All our luxury blended lotions are made with Organic Aloe
Vera (aloe barbadensis miller), organic Lavender & Frankincence
Hydrolats, organic Evening Primrose oil, organic Rosehip seed oil and
Natural Vitamin E (mixed-tocopherols), not the cheaper synthetic dl-
vitamin E’s. Our luxury shampoo includes Organic Aloe Vera as the second
ingredient after aqua, Jojoba oil, wheatgerm oil and Natural Vitamin E.
and C.
We have a system for measures, batching and Stock Control.
Each essential oil is supplied in an amber glass bottle fitted with a
dropper allowing approx. 20 drops per ml, which is tilt controlled. |

Note: if some lab somewhere on this planet is testing any the products
we supply or anything else for any reason we Despise what you are doing.
We do not believe any life should be sustained through the torture of
another. Unfortunately we do not have the means nor the power to be
everywhere at all time and stop these abuses. We must be realistic and
make the best stance against animal testing (torture) that we can.
We support groups or people interested in a better environment.
